Finally some progress

Ok so by now maybe you can all tell I'm very indecisive...it's horrible. Anyway after a couple days spent swatching and not finding what I wanted I decided to just quit it and go with my original idea. It's what I really want to do, so I should just do it. Either way I'm pretty happy with how it's coming out. I'm only up to about 3 inches, I had to tink back an inch or so when my first couple of shaping rows weren't working the way I wanted and now it's all fixed. Here's a pic to show how far, that's about all you can see. I am doing the side ribbing in 3 knit 1 purl, so it's subtle. I also did 3 rows of seed stitch where the stockinette is...altho it's curling anyhow. Nothing a little blocking won't fix. Ignore the jammies... ;)Oh yeah and I did a provisional cast on, hence the yellow yarn. I like knitting my ruffles down better than up. Here's my thoughts so far. I think I want to change the top, so maybe not i-cord straps like I originally thought. Maybe more like cap sleeves, but not all the way. Does that make sense? Ummm like if anyone has ever seen the top of that pretty lotus blossom tank of the cover of last summer's interweave knits? I like the shape of the top. Anyway I've got some time to kick around ideas before that. Ok now I've got to go finish hubby's resume...bad me for puttin it off till 1 am... eep!

I like your half cap sleeve idea. I think it will add more feminity to the piece. :)

Don't feel bad-indecisive is my middle name--it's all part of the process--

I also like the cap sleeve idea. I love how subtle the ribbing is...
